Assembly
The assembly sequence for the Bottled Water Filter and Straw Filter are as followed:
0. Never over-tighten any components, as they might break.
Thoroughly rinse filter housing and filter cartridge before each use. Flush debris from inside the system.
2. Assemble Bottled Water Filter with the plastic bottle, simultaneously. This takes off unnessasary pressure imposed onto the ring platform, which rests the filter cartridge and gaskets. Avoiding this step may cause the ring to break prematurely. Follow instructions for Straw Filter assembly here: https://youtu.be/kDIs5jhXOLk?si=WOR9c1koGbzEZgGf
3. Fasten and unfasten the bottle cap from the Bottled Water Filter with your thumb on the knurling of the Joiner. This avoids unscrewing of the filter components from each other and the bottle, avoiding leaks and disassembly.
4. Do not over tighten components. Do not dishwash filter(s). Do not use past recommended filter cartridge lifespan.
5. Do not drink backwash. Once filter is used, consider the contents in the bottle and cup to be polluted — as they technically are. The filter cartridge is heat-treated on one side, while the other side is indexed to fit towards the polluted site. This allows for characteristics that promote fluid passivity and prevent cross-contamination. Unfortunately, your already-polluted bottle or cup contents may increase in microplastic pollution but will be filtered 90% out the other end.
6. Avoid picking filter cartridge out of the filter housing(Coupling). Instead, poke thru ring hole for easy disassembly of cartridges and gaskets.
7. Make sure all components are fastened together first before drinking to avoid possible choking hazards.
8. Do not use filter cartridges past the recommended use period.
9. Always place indexed filter cartridge(marked red) towards polluted source. Never use filter cartridge when indexed the opposite way.
